From passion and love for climbing,
into the art of resoling climbing shoes in the Netherlands
Growing up in Arco, Italy, climbing has always been a part of my life. There, resoling climbing shoes was simply part of being a climber. When your shoes wore out, you had them repaired and carried on climbing.
For years, I would take my favourite climbing shoes back to Italy to have them resoled by someone I trusted. Eventually, I started wondering: Why not learn to do this myself?
That simple question became the beginning of my small business, Curada Resole.
Getting started meant a lot of research, learning and finding the right machinery and tools, including the right connections. I travelled back and forth to Italy to learn from experienced resolers, gathered specialised and professional equipment and spent countless hours practising on old shoes before taking on other climbers’s pairs.
Resoling climbing shoes is a craft that takes patience and attention to detail. Every shoe is different, and every step matters. I take pride in doing the job properly, because I know how much a trusted pair of shoes can mean to the person wearing them.
Curada Resole brings together my experience as a climber, my passion for working with my hands and the love for nature and the outdoors.
Climbing, Mountaineering, Approach, Hiking or running shoes, this work isn't just fixing shoes for me, is about helping climbers and outdoors lovers like myself, getting more out of their gears while contributing in a better future with sustainable craftsmanship and environmental focus.
